VIVI Music DE is released under a modified GNU GPL-3.0 License — your right to run, study, share and improve the software is protected.

Modified GNU GPL-3.0 open-source license. VIVI Music DE is 100% free and open-source software. You are granted the explicit freedoms to run, copy, redistribute, modify and improve it under the terms of the GPL-3.0. The deviations from the standard GPL-3.0 text are written out in the LICENSE file.

1. Open-source freedoms

As a user or a developer, the license guarantees you:

The freedom to run it: install and use the app on any supported device.
The freedom to study it: inspect the public source code and audit how it works.
The freedom to share and modify it: fork it, adapt the UI or the playback engine, and distribute your own version.

2. Copyleft conditions (share-alike)

If you modify and distribute a fork of VIVI Music DE, the GPL-3.0 copyleft rules apply:

Your modified project must also be released under the same GPL-3.0 terms — you cannot turn it into closed-source or proprietary software.
You must publish the full source code of your version, state the changes you made, and keep the credits to the original authors: VIVI Music by VIVIDH P ASHOKAN (vivizzz007) and the desktop fork maintained by PiBOH.

3. Disclaimer of warranty ("as is")

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. As stated in Sections 15, 16 and 17 of the GNU GPL-3.0, the authors provide no guarantee regarding:

The continuous availability or compatibility of YouTube Music endpoints and APIs used for streaming.
Fitness for a particular purpose, or merchantability of the application.
The absence of bugs, playback interruptions or device-specific compatibility issues.

4. Limitation of liability

Except where required by applicable law, the authors of VIVI Music DE are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, loss of use, data or profits, or business interruption) however caused, arising in any way out of the use of this software, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.

5. Streaming & personal usage policy

VIVI Music DE streams audio that is publicly indexed on external platforms. The app does not host any media and is meant for personal use.

Users are responsible for respecting the copyrights and the terms of service of the platforms the audio comes from. The authors take no responsibility for user-initiated content queries.

6. No affiliation

VIVI Music DE is not affiliated with, funded or endorsed by YouTube or Google. "YouTube" and "YouTube Music" are trademarks of Google LLC. The original Android application is created and maintained by vivizzz007.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated as the project evolves; the version published on this page is always the current one. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
