sync
Phone ↔ desktop,
in real time.
Pair the Android app with VIVI Music DE and they stay in lockstep: queue, playback position, volume, playlists, theme, accent colour and settings. One pair, both directions.
Phone
VIVI Music (Android) Your phone runs the original VIVI Music. Anything you do here — play, seek, volume, playlists — is mirrored on the desktop in real time.Desktop
VIVI Music DE Your computer runs VIVI Music DE — the remote station of the pair. Search a song on the phone and it plays here; skip here and the phone follows.hover or tap a device card to see its side of the deal

Pairing over LAN (same Wi-Fi)
- Open Settings → Devices in VIVI Music DE and press Start LAN server. A relay address and a 6-digit pairing code appear on screen, next to a QR.
- On the phone, open Settings → Devices in VIVI Music — or just scan the QR code shown on the desktop.
- Enter the relay address and the 6-digit code, then tap Pair.
- Done. The two devices are connected and keep syncing from here on — until one of the apps is closed.
Pairing over the cloud relay
If the phone and desktop sit on different networks, point the relay URL at the cloud server (default wss://vivimusic-device-sync.onrender.com) and pair with the same 6-digit code. It's the same protocol, just running over WebSocket through a middleman.
The relay runs on a free cloud tier, which means it occasionally sleeps. If pairing times out for no obvious reason, wait a minute and poke it again — it wakes up.

Notes, so you're not surprised later
- Closing either app un-pairs both. A short grace period absorbs brief network blips, but "the app was closed" is a hard stop.
- Volume syncs on two channels: the in-app VIVI volume and the native OS volume (Android ↔ Windows / Linux / macOS).
- Queue and playlists use last-write-wins — whichever side was edited most recently takes it. No merge dialog, no drama.
- Stuck on pairing? The sync-family error codes (E1004–E1006 are the usual suspects) live on the error codes page.
